“South Korea on Friday launched an investigation to see if any quality certificates for imported materials or parts used in its nuclear reactors were fabricated ….The new and formal investigation by the safety commission will review a total of 37,971 quality certificates from 35 countries for parts used in the country’s 23 nuclear reactors that are already in operation. … Of the total, 57 percent, or 21,670 certificates, are from American agencies that test and certify reactor parts. Another 7.5 percent originated from Canadian agencies. …”
