U.S. Legislation and Rule Making Activity on Counterfeit Parts – 2013 SAE Counterfeit Parts Avoidance Conference

At the SAE 2013 Counterfeit Parts Avoidance Symposium Sept. 27 in Montreal, Canada, Henry Livingston of BAE Systems gave a status report on U.S. government is doing in regards to counterfeit electronic parts legislation and regulation.

    Thanks so much for sharing this. While there is still quite a bit of work to be done, the introduction and adoption of AS5553 and AS6081 has certainly provided industry with a much-needed counterfeit avoidance framework. I would love to obtain a copy of the sources you cited in your presentation. Can you make that available?
