    02/07/2013 Case manager forwarded draft interim rule to DAR editor. DAR editor reviewing.
  • DFARS Case 2012-D042: Business Systems Compliance –
    02/13/2013 DARC received Ad Hoc Committee draft proposed DFARS rule from DAR staff. Discuss on 3/6/2013.
  • FAR Case 2012-024: Commercial and Government Entity Code –
    02/22/2013 OIRA cleared proposed FAR rule. FAR staff processing.
  • FAR Case 2012-032: Higher-Level Contract Quality Requirements –
    02/22/2013 Draft proposed FAR rule from FAR analyst to OFPP. OFPP reviewing.
  • FAR Case 2013-002: Expanded Reporting of Nonconforming Supplies –
    Report Due 3/27/2013 (extended).

    Perhaps because of the Presidents Day holiday last Monday, or sequestration after effects, the weekly “Open DFARS Case Report” released and published by Henry on these pages regularly have not been updated since February 22. For those interested, the Open DFARS Case 2012-D055 – Detection and Avoidance of Counterfeit Electronic Parts was forwarded to OIRA for review on 2/26/13. The listing and RIN number can be found at:

    Just click the DoD bar in the upper left chart to access the listing. Unfortunately, to date no description of the rule has been published in the Unified Agenda, but I presume we can expect some details shortly.
